| You may be right. Now that I hear it again, I'm not sure. His voice sounds more raspy normally, maybe he sang a tad bit different to get a different effect for that part? Interesting. |

| @FaithIsAnnoyed This granddad recalls they lost AM radio commercial credibility and the teenyboppers with the Smile disaster, and they were eclipsed by the ongoing FM radio audience fragmentation where "rock 'n' roll" morphed into "rock music." Being dismissed by dope-smoking critics, who were desperately "hip", didn't help either But I don't think they ever lost entirely the respect of real musicians who had graduated from garage jams. I don't even recall Frank Zappa dissing Brian Wilson. |

| "Surf's Up" just may be the all time best Long Player in Rock History, The Beach Boys were perfecting MUSIC, that most bands would not even or ever have the nerve to attempt! Thanks Y T and High Voltage for reminding us all How truly good of an effort this and the title song really was! I believe I hear an AMEN! |

| @FaithIsAnnoyed Absolutely brilliant. For years I avoided the Surf's Up album along with the song heroes and villains because it didnt' sound "typical BB" but once I gave it a listen I was just blown away...I'm discovering that the BB music really is far more diverse and complex than folks give it credit. Can't wait to discover more this year. |
